Phonesack Wood at a glance
Phonesack Wood Factory Co., Ltd. was the first division established under Phonesack Group in 1990. Since its establishment, the company has contributed to the wood-processing industry in Lao PDR by producing value-added and near-finished wood products for domestic and export markets. During its earlier operations, Phonesack Group established wood-processing facilities in Thakhek District, Nakai District and Yommalath District, Khammouane Province.
Responsible processing
Phonesack Wood is committed to complying with government regulations and supporting the responsible use of natural resources. By processing timber within Lao PDR rather than exporting unprocessed raw materials, the company helps create local employment opportunities, develop workforce skills, and contribute to the national economy.
The company also places importance on environmental responsibility and the efficient use of available timber resources, including the recovery and processing of logs generated through approved infrastructure and development projects. These activities historically included timber associated with development areas in Nakai District, Khammouane Province.
Operating today
Currently, Phonesack Wood operates one functional wood-processing plant located in Yommalath District, Khammouane Province. The facility is operated by trained personnel and focuses on producing quality wood products in accordance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
